The efficacy of cochlear implantation
Cooperation
- ESIT (European School for Interdisciplinary Tinnitus Research) is a project funded by the EU as part of the research and development program Horizon 2020 for the training of young scientists in tinnitus research.
The cochlear implant (CI) is one of the most successful instruments in tinnitus treatment. As part of the European research network named above, a project is investigating the effectiveness of CI's when it comes to accompanying tinnitus complaints. At the same time, the further development of a fully implantable CI system should expand the range of application and acceptance of this fully electronic sensory prosthesis (in cooperation with the Research Group Otology/Biomechanics of Hearing).
